Amy Willis consults with clients to develop proposals, reports, articles and websites. Since 2002, Amy has been engaging clients from across the health care, non-profit and business communities, quickly getting up to speed on their organizations and collaborating to identify and articulate their goals through clear, focused writing.
Prior to consulting, Amy worked in the public, private, and non-profit sectors. She served as Budget and Policy Analyst for the Massachusetts State Legislature – House Ways and Means Committee, focusing on health and human service issues, and as Director of Health Programs for the Massachusetts Department of Medical Security (now the Massachusetts Health Policy Commission), managing affordable health insurance and education grant programs. Amy also served as Provider Contract Manager at Tufts Health Plan, negotiating payment agreements with hospitals and physicians, and as Marketing Coordinator for a public accounting firm.
Amy leverages her knowledge and experience in public policy, non-profit management, health and human services, managed care, education, business, and grants management in her consulting work. Amy relishes the opportunity to partner with a wide variety of people and organizations, to focus and strategize with clients around their goals, and to develop high-quality written communications.
Amy is a member of the Non-Profit Consultants Network, and is an active participant with Philanthropy Massachusetts, Women in Health Care Management, and Boston Women Communicators. She has served on numerous non-profit boards. Amy earned a B.A. Degree in Economics from Brandeis University, spending one semester in Washington DC on American University’s Washington Semester Program in Economic Policy.
